Last night at this same time - those same folks were likely experiencing life as usual. Now - a huge void and profound loss.

Your message is deep, yet simple. In honor of those lost in this tragedy - remember to pay honor to those that we love - not just today - but everyday.

4. I look back on college fondly

They are rightfully cherished days to remember, and to know the generally positive experience of all these students was altered in this way... gives one pause, and I wish them strength and peace in the days and years ahead.

12. I would guess that most students at VT, even those with litte or no connection

to the victims, lives are inalterably changed after today. :-(

while we had to "learn" each others' styles... given that our posting styles are so different - we bridged them early on - and found a real appreciation/affinity. Please pass on to Nini, while she and I have had more limited contact- that I appreciate her and I thank you both for sharing your joy of life together. It really means something to others (or at least one other) who only knows your "voice" from a message board in DU land. :loveya:

Nini made stir-fry and then we surveyed the new flowers she bought for the garden. Later this month I am going to plant some vegetables and herbs. I am ready for spring planting! :hug:

I always wanted to have the garden but at this point in my life I Don't want to put in the work.
Maybe one day.

We are going to do a compost pile when the weather gets warmer and the rains stop.

What a tragic day this has been. :( I was completely stunned at the senseless violence that erupted today in the US (and is, indeed, prevalent in many areas of the world on a daily basis). :cry:

I met a friend for lunch, and did exactly what you suggested above. We can never take those close to us for granted. None of us know how long we have left. :hug:
