Threw that monkey off my back for the second time. The first time, I stayed quit for 12 years.

I started up again last October.

I can do it.

1. Yes you can
tons of people have done it so there is no reason you can't

I'm still smoke free for 20 months after over 20 years of smoking.

The first three days are the worst. Once you get to 10 days just keep telling yourself "Don't give up those days"

Orbit gum- with NEW Raspberry- look into it especially a Citrusmint Lemon-Lime mix (one stick of each)

2. Ooh! Never thought of combining them. Love the new raspberry.
I've got the patch and some Chantix, too. But I'm going cold-turkey.

7. The new Mint Mojito is really strong
I LIVED off the orange and lemonlime for most of the worst part of wanting to light up.

I have I don't know how many of these things in my desk, my car (don't do well in the heat), my gym bag and so forth.

The raspberry is really really good.

Made in the USA and Canada too

12. Ugh. I hate it too!
It's just hard to quit when my husband smokes, too. The smell drives me crazy. If I could just get him to quit!

They don't care if you die.......they just want your money!

Good luck!

15. Congrats Beausoir!
You can do this...I quit on March 4 after 25 years of smoking. While I can't say that I don't miss it sometimes, I feel so much better now that I don't have that hanging over my head.

31. Thanks
The key is to avoid the "trigger" situations in the beginning. I still have problems in my car, but I pop 5 altoids at once and just blow out for about 2 minutes...it seems to do the trick.

21. a twist on the OJ...
I went to a seminar that said to mix water with the OJ, that it helped more because it was less sweet (and sweet can supposedly trigger a craving).

It worked, but I didnt try straight OJ first either.

Good luck!

39. Oh damn..
Well keep trying until you get it down! If it makes you feel any better I haven't quite quit yet either...I am down to just a few smokes a day (sometimes none) and I am actually kind of happy with that. If I can make a pack last a week and a half or two weeks I am pretty freakin thrilled.

Good luck!

20. I do the following to my buddy when ever he "quits" smoking, yes, I'm a jerk...
"oh man, I could really go for a butt, a nice relaxing cig, something to help me wind down from a long day, oh yeah, or I think I would rather have one after a meal, yeah, that's it, after dinner, oh boy, that would be sweet".

Good luck!! :)

27. I'm coming up on a year!
My boyfriend and I quit together, used the patch for a couple of weeks.

To date, I figure we have saved: $2700 (Two cartons {$60} a week X 45 weeks)

All the things that smell better: Me, my car, my house.

YOU CAN DO IT!! My boyfriend is a punk rock guitarist... smoking seems to be part of the whole scene. Smoking was very much a part of his whole persona. If he can do it, anyone can!

Less is better, but hopefully you get through today with zero.

I gotta tell you, this is scary. That you started smoking again after 12 years. It's been 10 years for me, so I guess I'm not out of the woods yet.

Hang in there.
