I'm listening to KIRO 710 (Seattle). Here's a paraphrased quote from host Mike Webb:

"George Bush is no Hitler. He could be, if he would just apply himself. But he's not nearly clever enough or self-motivated enough to be an Adolph Hitler."

I tuned in while the show was in progress, and he was talking a lot about Margaret Cho's opinions of Bush. I guess he was quoting her, and I didn't realize it at the time.

5. Of course he's not.

During WWI, when his country was at war, Hitler actually fought. There is even a school of thought which posits that Hitler's exposure to mustard gas and other chemical warfare agents may have had a causitive effect on his later obvious insanity. Since the only agents Bush has ever been exposed to are booze and cocaine, he doesn't even have that excuse.

First, he ran away from Austria because he didn't want to be drafted into the Austrian army, not because he was afraid that his ass would be shot off but because he didn't want to share barracks with Jews and Slavs. He was eventually rejected anyway for health reasons. He petitioned the King of Bavaria to allow him to join his regiment and the King agreed. There were only acceptable Aryans in the Bavarian regiment.

Second,his fellow soldiers weren't that thrilled with him and his politics, considering him a "white" crow amongst the rest of them who were "black crows". Maybe mustard gas enhanced his problems, but it is more likely that drugs he took to make up for loss of sleep after he became Fuhrer were the more likely cause. IMHO
