1. I dunno about that. Do you suppose Homeland Security is monitoring reading lists and
IP addresses to keep an eye on us intellectual types.

Just kidding. I don't give a rat's ass if they know.

That thing looks pretty cool, and I will check it out further.

Well I got a CHARGE out of cataloging things :silly:

But it helped me already.. the last time I was in San Francisco I spent an afternoon at a used bookstore and one of the books I got I didn't know I had already, but I checked my librarything from my friend's computer so then I took it back and got something else before I came home .

This is mine- http://www.librarything.com/profile/stuntcat
I made it to 2000 so I take a break and finish a few of them now.

3. Wow
I always thought I had a lot of books, but actually seeing other people's collections made me realize I only have a handful. :) I'm at http://www.librarything.com/profile/chamomile

4. that's still a lot, more than lots of people
Over years my husband and I worked at different Borders in NC, VA, GA & NY and we were there when deals came along, especially the time a store moved down the street and we got 100's of them at once for a dollar a piece! :o That's of course how we got some of those art books that we'd never have afforded.

I was glad when I could look at it from California, it only saved me like $7 but it was still good to do.

7. I like library book sales...
the public library in my city has a really good bookshop where they sell both old and new books for 50 cents... I've gotten some cool finds. :)

6. It is strangely fun to catalog all your books
It kind of took me through all the phases of my life (sounds cheesy, but it is true!) :hi:
