How do you say it, Duct Tape or Duck Tape
I can say Duct Tape but I have to think about it.

I think it has to do with the part of the country you come from.

I say Duck Tape.

I have a $20 bet on this.

Either way is OK with me.

2. I can go either way.
I have duct tape with the label Duck Tape.

A certain person I know just goes crazy if someone says Duck Tape.

3. I say both depending on the situation.
If I am sealing up my duct work it is of course called Duct tape, but if I'm fixing a broken leg on a duck or any waterfowl for that matter, I call it duck tape.

4. They had some guy on a late night talk show
And he researched it and wrote a book about it. Apparently the original name was Duck Tape. Something to do with the military and I don't remember why "Duck" Tape. (maybe it could seal out water?) I always call it Duct tape. My memory shrinks and my prostate enlarges.

19. The correct word is "duct"...
...except keep in mind that during normal conversation when you say the phrase "duct tape" the "t" at the end of "duct" and the "t" at the beginning of "tape" run together and form a single "t" sound. So it sounds like "duck tape".
