but, it was close between montana and michael corleone.

pacino was great as both, but his montana was a such a scenery chewing tour deforce performance.

It was based on Nicholas Pileggi's true-crime book, "Wiseguys." Among those he interviewed for the book was the real-life Henry Hill.
