Poll question: If companies refuse to consider a person for employment due to one typo in their resume,
should people refuse to buy from a company for the same reason -- and say so in any feedback mechanism available?

Did something happen?

2. Yup.
A company that uses amazon.com - within 24 hours raised the price of a part I had on hold. By $20.

Between said 24 hours, the competing e-tailers had DROPPED the price of the same product. Only by $2 on average, but the f-word comes to mind. (fleecing).

Needless to say, I'm tempted to write up a negative listing. Not against the part, but the company -- and even go off on my tangent about their grammatical error (which is a ludicrously simple one) combined with employers' qualifiers for workers in the first place, combined with the usual rant about "customers' hard earned money" too. :)

3. Same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago.

I put a pogo stick for MMjr in my shopping cart at about 3AM. By 10AM that same morning, the price had increased $10. From 69.99 to 79.99.

4. I would think hat if a company is that diligent about its employees,
it would be as diligent about the quality of its product.

And thus I would have a stronger desire to use their stuff, since I would have more confidence in them as a company.

5. I'd love to know what products have increased in quality lately...
:D

I've seen more stilted English in computer software; which doesn't help Microsoft's intention of eliminating the concept of "customer support" whatsoever...

Somebody could have astute grammatical capacity and be a dolt at everything else... or vice-versa...

But then to go to a pet store and read the caption of a handfed parrot, complete with gross misspelling of "definitely" ("definatley") and then talking with the bird support specialist to confirm nobody has the time or a damn... it's more than the bottom line when it comes to quality products. Money for nothing and the chicks are free...

But I do agree; something that sounds articulate and competent is more likely to grab attention.
