I pulled that off on a final once, in a class where I was hovering just on the edge of an A. The final saved me. I had dreams about that class for months afterwards - coming into the final and protesting, "Wait, I already got 100 on this test!" and thinking I couldn't pull it off again. Vertebrate Biology, great class - I loved the lecture part and struggled with the lab part (we had a pretty clueless TA) - and oddly enough, I ended up teaching that lab in grad school later, for quite a number of years.
