I'm gonna be okay
Edited on Tue Apr-10-07 12:53 PM by lizziegrace
it just dawned on me, this very instant, that everything's going to be okay. I go on my employer's payroll on May 1 with all my medical insurance fully paid by my employer. :wow: I'm treated with respect and my ideas and input are valued and appreciated. I don't worry about the kind of violence I endured in the past.

Lelapin is doing well in school and life. She and ZombieNixon are so good for each other and adore one another.

I still love the old farmhouse I live in and can't wait to have my arm healed enough to start turning over the flower beds and maybe dig some new ones.

There's no one special in my life, but that's okay. My grandmother spent the last 40 years of her life alone. It *can* be done. Not that I want it to be that way, mind you. ;)

The only real negative? It will take years to dig out of the financial hole I've found myself in but at least there's hope.

Hope. It's an amazing thing.

Thanks to all of you who've been there through all this. You're angels.

5. Congratulations
I, too, am seeing the light at the end of the financial black tunnel of hell that began when I had brain surgery 16 years ago with very inadequate health insurance. I never thought I'd see the day.

Gardening is so healing and refreshing -- almost spiritual for me, in a way. I hope your arm is well soon so you can get out there and I hope it stops snowing and freezing here so I can too!

11. You said not long ago that someday -- someday -- you'd feel happy.
It's really good to hear that some of that happiness is there for you now. I hope it grows and grows for you.

You deserve that feeling of hope. And you don't need to endure the work ahead by yourself. You've drawn a lot of good people around you.

"Hope sole remain'd within, nor took her flight,
Beneath the vessel's verge conceal'd from light." "

There's a guy out there just waiting to meet a wonderful woman like you. It WILL happen. But if it doesn't happen for awhile, just enjoy being YOU. Enjoy doing what you want to do--the solitude of being single is a blessing in many ways. When that guy does happen across your path, he will be impressed with the successful, confidant woman that you are.

Much love from Mississippi.

It must have been a wonderful feeling when you knew that it would be OK. There may be other bumps along the way, but ultimately, you're a talented, and loved, individual who will be fine, better than fine. Happy, even!

We're slowly, hopefully, clawing our way out of a bad situation, too. Nothing's sure yet, but as you said, at least there is hope, and I haven't felt optimistic in months. It's a nice feeling.

Edited to add: your post also made others (including me) feel very hopeful and happy, too - Thanks!
