Naked Runner Tasered 3 Times By Police

It wasn't such a Good Friday for one Middletown man, who police used a Taser on three times and sprayed with pepper spray.

Billy Spencer, of the 1600 block of Meadow Avenue, spent a night behind bars for running naked near his home around 10:21 p.m. Friday, according to a police report.

In the police cruiser, Spencer, 40, hit his head against the partition until he began to bleed, and police sprayed him with pepper spray, the report states.

Police then used a Taser to subdue Spencer after he began kicking the partition, according to the report.

At the jail, Spencer would not leave the police cruiser, and officers once again used a Taser on him, the report states.

Spencer had to be carried into the jail, where police again used a Taser on him after he began fighting with officers, according to the report.

He was charged with resisting arrest and public intoxication, the report states.

He posted bond at 10:25 a.m. Saturday, according to jail records.
