I'm dreaming of a white Easter...
Actually, I am not dreaming of a white Easter, but I keep hearing that Christmas song in my head with Easter in the chorus instead of Christmas.

So, how many of you are going to get ice/snow/sleet this Easter?

2. my yard doesn't know what to do.
I have some flowers getting ready to bloom that normally bloom in late spring or summer, and some flowers that normally bloom in spring that bloomed back in January instead. I suppose next we'll have snow in May too and have to cancel school for it. It's not snowing here, but we are set for record cold temperatures and in the NC mountains some are calling for snow there as well as some in the foothills.

Strange days indeed. :hi:

8. Wow. That would be the normal temperature for where I live right now.
It is supposed to be 25 degrees tonight and our high was only 51. The cold front is still moving in as I type this too. It has been windy today as well which makes it seem cooler.

5. It has been one big cold snap for many of us who are
not accustomed to such low temperatures this time of year. For others, it means snow when they may not necessarily have snow this time of year. I has been a strange one, hasn't it?

7. Sounds like we are in the same boat there.
It's only 47 now here in my little neck of the woods. The high was 51 degrees but it will be 25 degrees tonight. My feet were just thawing out from winter too.

10. 42 in town right now
according to one of the news websites with a low of 35 expected tonight. Colder out here away from town, I'm sure, but I don't have a thermometer outside.

I hate to crank the heat back up too high again so I'm sitting here in two shirts, two pairs of jammie pants, and two pairs of socks. Brrr!

Keep warm, sweetie!

12. Do you normally get snow for Easter?
Edited on Sat Apr-07-07 06:44 PM by Jamastiene
Where I live, we usually look forward to Easter for the warm days to begin. Wow, it's cold here right now.

Edited to add: I mean it's really cold here for this time of year.

15. Not since I got off the Blow....
I get your drift...

We have had snow as late as May in my lifetime...

But this is really getting bad...

It has snowed all day and there are no signs of it letting up...

Our Daffodils are getting clobbered...

At Easter we are usually enjoying the pagan Co-Opted Easter, you know, celebrate spring, the rebirth and all that...

14. Had snow squalls today and yesterday
Edited on Sat Apr-07-07 07:05 PM by mvd
Today, a squall came with the sun out.

I like Easter for nature's renewal and Christ's Resurrection, but Christmas is still my favorite holiday by far.

17. Here!
Been snowing off and on for a week and is supposed to continue all next week as well. It's 26 degrees right now and I don't think we've broken the freezing mark in several days. Plus it's been REALLY windy all week as well, which just makes things worse. Blustery-with-snow is for January and February, not April.

Disclaimer: Here in WNY Easter is usually white, but this year seems particularly brutal. Ugh.

18. We got snow for about ten minutes just outside of Austin today.
Those are wildflowers in the background! It's going to freeze tonight. Our average last freeze date is normally around mid-March.

20. Hey Rev, long time no see.
I hope you are having a great holiday as well. It's been strange with the temperatures being so low. Otherwise, it has been a peaceful relaxing vacation, however short. Great minds do think alike, don't they?
