1. That sounds like the midwest!
Awww, I kinda miss schizophrenic weather.

But not really.

Meanwhile, it's ass-cold in Los Angeles. Like, high of 62 degrees cold. That ain't right...

2. Houston
Even the damn rain is cold. Yesterday was sunny, of course.

62 in LA is practically freezing by CA standards, is it not? :scared:

4. Damn, that's cold for Houston
It sounds more typical of, say, Nebraska.

Yes, 62 is practically freezing. Plus, we haven't seen the sun in DAYS which is just flat out wrong. But of course it still won't rain. We've only gotten about 2 inches of rain this season. The average is around 13 inches.

There is definitely something amiss. Paging President Gore... ;)

7. For April, definitely cold
Just 4 days ago, the bottlebrush bush exploded into a dazzling spray of bright red blooms. Go fig.

I light candles every damn night wishing that President Gore would take his rightful seat at the helm of Planet Earth.

3. Welcome to my world
that's the kind of weather we have here every spring

makes for nortadoes and hailstorms usually

global warming sucks

did you know that the ponds around here used to freeze over in many older people around here's lifetime?

Now none do. They used to cut ice off ponds and water from the river, now it isn't cold enough to do that if they had to.

yes, fucking global warming is fucking us up

and I fear that in 30 years, I'll have beachfront property here.

5. It hailed last Saturday night
We got up at 6:30 am in the pitch black to go put our cars in the garage - we usually leave them in the driveway. And lo and behold, in a blaze of lightning towards the southwest---

---GREEN SKY---

I don't recall being that freaked out in a long time. We were very lucky because the storm blew through fast.

9. Sounds like...
A typical springtime cold front event to me and nothing to do with global warming..

Y'know...The kind that spawn major thunderstorms that are so common?

"If you don't like the weather wait 10 minutes and it will change."
