If you don't know me, reply to this thread, and ask me something.
I've made no attempt to get to know "new" folks - folks who aren't even new anymore.

I've been away from DU a lot.

in the lounge in the last 4-5 months, and i want to meet them. i guess i should say "tell me something about YOURSELF." but it's all about me.

10. I must confess that I don't think I've ever heard a Ben Folds song.
If I have, I didn't know it.

There was a Ben Folds Five song that I really liked, but I can't remember it.

I'm not much on music other than what I know I like. I need to expand my horizons.

The last popular music I remember really liking was the Cranberries.

4. not a stupid question -- wild domestic cats.
Domestic housecats who have gone wild. Abandoned or lost cats often revert to their natural state - wild. And when they have kittens, those grow up wilder, and their kittens are completely wild.

9. Not the grown ones. It may happen but I've never heard of it. But the kittens --
If you catch them early enough - like 3-4 weeks - and concentrate on them, they can be domesticated.

We have a litter on its way from a semi-feral cat who lives in our home. Her kittens will be fully domesticated because we can handle them every day.

28. Actually - I lied! I HAVE a former feral/now domestic! (photo)
Her name is Mildred. She was born feral and grew up feral. One day she figured out how to come in the cat door. She gradually stayed longer and longer. She said, "Hey. It's warm in here. And safe. And the food is better. I might learn to like it."

She stayed. And now I am hers. She doesn't let Mrs. V. touch her, but she's all over me.

Mildred!

12. Nope. Just my wanna-be name. Bertha is my alter ego, and "katzenengel"
is a bit of hubris. It's German for "cats' angel"

I like it much better on tap than in the bottle, but can't get it unless we go to Mike's American. An hour drive for that restaurant but SO worth it.

Been at the job for a little more than 4 months. I love it.

Hence, my question about your favorite beer.

27. Perhaps you just havent tried the right ones?
If you like Blue Moon, I would recommend a good Weizen. Wheat beer thats very light, not bitter, and great for summer. The Germans drink it with a slice of lemon.
