3. Yeah, once in the eighties...
A buddy said, "hey, take a hit off this zeppelin."

I woke up in the bathtub.

9. I have been to the only official
Zeppelin factory left. It's in Friedrichshafen, Germany and is owned by ZF Industries, founded by the late, great, Count Von Zeppelin, inventor and designer of the Zeppelin brand of dirigibles.

that would have cut into my drinking money.

11. not that lucky, although I did race one of the semi rigid
Goodyear blimps along interstate 70 between St. Louis and Kansas City.
We were neck and neck until I had to buy gasoline.

12. I wouldn't say 'traveled'....
but I have been in the Goodyear blimp 3x...cruising over Palos Verdes, Long Beach, the ocean etc. I liked it much more than I thought I would. If you ever get the chance, I'd say go for it.

15. yeah.
it wasn't something I sought out - just a chance that came my way because my son was friends with some of the personnel - but it was a nice addition to my "I've done that" list. :)

19. Well, OK.
But I still think they are/were fascinating and a relaxing way of getting around provided they were had helium instead of hydrogen in the buoyancy cells.

20. Just thought you'd like to know. And I agree, it would be a GREAT way to take a trip.
Faster than an ocean liner, blut low and slow enough that you can really see things.
