Edited on Tue Apr-03-07 09:34 PM by Radio_Lady
I don't mean his general work at all. I just didn't know until now that Claude Monet painted turkeys! Just revealed on my April 2007 calendar.

The Turkeys at Montgeron
1877
oil on canvas 174x172cm
Musee d'Orsay

4. Hi, WC... Very cute! Aren't turkeys American fowls?
Should they have used this painting for November's calendar?

5. Right. I used to work in Dedham, Massachusetts... but this is a real painting!
Nothing MOBA about it! Wonder what the Musee d'Orsay paid for the thing!

10. OK. I've got it now. We went to the Portland Museum to see the Egypt exhibit.
Edited on Tue Apr-03-07 09:43 PM by Radio_Lady
That was back in January.

They had a "modern art" exhibit that should have been displayed near the dumpster in back of the Museum.

Waste Management would have taken it away, for a fee.

Yikes!

9. The sun does look low, but could be sunrise, too? White turkeys?
Is that a special breed?

Where is Montgeron?

12. Thanks for that link. We're headed to Europe in early May -- maybe we'll get to see this painting.
Appreciate your research.
