April Fool Prank -- OMG, did I get Mrs. Venation!!

I'm a guitarist but have not played for several years. So I have no business looking for my dream guitar right now.

But yesterday, I told Mrs. V., I found it on eBay: a Jim Croce Martin. Ooohhhhh, these come up so rarely, so I just had to bid, I told her shamefacedly. (We can't afford such a thing!)

She gave me this look, like, "oh, I can't believe this... what has she done." and she asked, "How much did you bid?"

I sighed, lowered my head, looked up and murmured, "$2,300."

Silence.

"And if you win how are we going to pay for it?"

I said, "come on, I won't win."

"But what if you do?"

"I won't!"

"Mm-hmm."

I hemmed and hawed, and let her stew for a second. Then with the same shame with which I told her what I bid, I kept my head down and raised my eyes and said, "April Fool."

Silence.

All she said was, "oh, I am going to get you for that..."

8. No biggie. Because of the baggy t-shirts (which hide the bosom) and

the very short hair I prefer, I am often called "sir." It irritates me, but I no longer have the urge to flash a tit to embarrass the fool. They usually correct themselves and turn bright red.

9. I get that sometimes b/c of my height

At the Grand Canyon, S.O. and I were having breakfast, both in our cowboy hats and denim jackets. Because of the wind, I had my hair up in my hat.

"So, what can I get you gentlemen?"

I had to laugh, and then take off my hat (didn't even consider flashing a boob -- that certainly would have woken everyone up!)
