1. Tucson Toros, Minor League

My children and I often went to baseball games at Hi Corbett Field,
in Tucson, AZ.
Most nights we were sitting with my father. He liked to be up high,
straight on first to second.
Anyhow, one night Dad couldn't make it so my kids and I
had a chance to sit in the rightfield bleachers.
First we sat in the top row, probable row 20.
That was too far, and the youngsters needed to relocate.
So we moved down to row 3.
Well, of course that was too close, so we settled in row 15.
O. K.
Now the game begins Play Ball!
Dad, can we get a soda?

Sure, here's the cash, I'll wait here.

So, there I am, wearing my son's glove,
and they are coming up the steps, sodas and nachos in hand.

They are five steps from me, and the batter fouls one off

right into my son's glove, that is on my hand.

2. I like baseball, but it's been a long time since I've been to a game

We have a minor league team in Dayton about ten minutes up the road- the AA Dayton Dragons. I also live about 50 miles away from Cincinnati and I grew up listening to the Reds on radio and catching an occasional game in person. I've been much too busy in recent years to catch a game, though. Maybe this season I'll be able to.
