Five random questions for those trying to deny the reality of the end of the
weekend...

1. What was the most fun thing you did this weekend?
Baked cookies with my daughter and grandchildren.

2. What are you most looking forward to this coming week at work?
Reading some books on leadership and developing strengths that I am finding really interesting; also have a couple of training sessions to prep/lead, and I always look forward to those.

3. If you could have changed any one thing about this past weekend, what would you change?
It would have been nice had it been a little warmer and dryer; it rained and was chilly and windy all weekend here.

4. Did you watch any movies this weekend? What did you see? Would you recommend it/them?
Watched one of the Harry Potter movies with the grands; took out a couple more from the library but haven't had a chance to watch them yet ("Good Night and Good Luck" and "A Prairie Home Companion")

5. At what point during the work week do you start allowing yourself to REALLY think about/look forward to the weekend?
Usually about midafternoon on Thursday; when I have just a couple hours left of the last full day of the week, and know that Friday usually flies by, since it's only about a 6 hour day, max, until I have my 40 in and we're on no OT, so it's not too bad by that point.

1. Last ditch Weekend defense
As long as I'm up on Sunday night and it isn't yet 600AM, it's the weekend.

2. *lol* That's almost how I feel too; if I am awake and haven't been to bed yet
Sunday night, and am still nipping a mudslide and sneaking a smoke out on the patio, even if it's 40 degrees, it's still the weekend!

Everyone else in bed (hubby and daughter) and grands went home about suppertime, so I'm just decompressing alone here...:-)

6. five not-so=random answers
since they tie in to the questions :)

1. Most fun thing I did this weekend:
I went to a dance showcase and talent show. I started taking dancing lessons recently, and the studio I go to has a sister studio in town. They had a showcase where we got to watch the instructors and some of the students who have been dancing for a couple years or more strut their stuff. Then dinner, and an open dance floor. It was GREAT fun, and makes me even happier I've started taking lessons. It's ballroom-type dancing, so presumably like Dancing With The Stars, though I don't own a TV, so have never seen that show.

2. What am I looking forward to this week:
FRIDAY! because then I'm on vacation :woohoo:

3. If I could have changed one thing:
I have a friend out of state who is illin'. I wish she were here so I could play nursemaid to her.

4. Movies?
Nope, not this weekend.

5. When do I really start to look forward to the weekend:
Not until a couple hours or so before the end of Friday.

:hi:

21. *lol* I used to be SUCH a buckethead...I don't get into it nearly as much as
I used to; too much emphasis on sports in our society IMHO and it's rather turned me off lately...
But I sure remember the days when I'd be on one side of the room, and Hubby on the other, and Iowa would be playing Minnesota, and I'd be on my side screamin' "HAWKS EAT GOPHERS FOR BREAKFAST!!!" and he'd be on the other side screaming something not nearly so pithy and apt *lol*

Hope the rest of your week goes as well as most of the weekend seemed to!

13. Here are my answers :
1. What was the most fun thing you did this weekend?
I played PaddyCake with my 8 1/2 month old cousin :) He is so cute. He crawls so fast. He climbs off the couch and comes to me to play PaddyCake. He also takes and puts my hands together - and when I sing to him he has a look of joy this week.

2. What are you most looking forward to this coming week at work?
Lunchtime ... I have to be honest. I work because I need money - I really despise 90% of the people that work for this place.

3. If you could have changed any one thing about this past weekend, what would you change?
Being sad for nothing.

4. Did you watch any movies this weekend? What did you see? Would you recommend it/them?
I watched the Mummy Returns for about the 10th time.

5. At what point during the work week do you start allowing yourself to REALLY think about/look forward to the weekend?
Mondays ... again I have to be honest ;)

31. In case you're not aware of it
Laurie is British. He fakes an American accent (quite convincingly) for House. In Jeeves and Wooster he's much younger, and his character is an immature papmered goofball. He plays the part very well. The show is really good. Steven Fry does a great job as Jeeves.

BTW: the "Ask Jeeves" website borrowed the character from the Jeeves and Wooster series of books. They used to acknowlede it on the site, but stopped after they shortened the name to ask.com

34. I did know he was a Brit; I really enjoyed seeing him on 'Inside the Actors'
Studio' one time. He's hilarious, and he did this piece that he wrote on piano, and it was a scream.

I have seen the odd clip of him here and there when he was on 'Blackadder' but the BBC doesn't seem to be playing that much these days. I have not seen 'Jeeves and Wooster' but will have to check it out!

1. What was the most fun thing you did this weekend?
Went to Memphis, TN, to see the Cardinals play their last two spring training games and do other touristy things.

2. What are you most looking forward to this coming week at work?
Well, I'm leaving for home for Easter Break (I'm a student) on Wednesday afternoon. After that, I get to go to the Cardinals game on Wednesday night, spend the day with my cousin's wife and their brand new two-month-old baby for the first time on Thursday, and go see the Dirty Rotten Scoundrels musical tour on Friday. Then the obligatory Easter weekend stuff with out-of-town relatives.

3. If you could have changed any one thing about this past weekend, what would you change?
I'd rather not have spent 8 hours in the car on Sunday.

4. Did you watch any movies this weekend? What did you see? Would you recommend it/them?
Nope!

5. At what point during the work week do you start allowing yourself to REALLY think about/look forward to the weekend?
Wednesday. It's my longest day, and the rest of the week is really downhill from there.

32. This is interesting...
1. Played Risk with my daughter and her friend.

2. Catching up with work and seeing some of it behind me.

3. The weather. It was very hot here.

4. Two--a documentary and some old timey western. I would recommend the documentary, but not the movie.

5. I've got so much work to do that I don't even let myself think about the weekend, when I'm trying to catch up on work, so I won't be as far behind the next week. Of course, I never get caught up no matter what.

I think I'm going to buy a couple of the "sets" of these documentaries for some friends. They've got "Unprecedented," "Unconstitutional," "Uncovered" and some other one along the same lines that I can't remember the name of, but starts with an "Un".
