somebody stole $100 from me!
Edited on Sun Apr-01-07 11:18 PM by mark414
i had a raucous party on friday night in celebration of my 22nd birthday (on march 29). i went all out - a half barrel AND a quarter barrel in reserve (along with a couple 30 packs of PBR), i spent the day grilling up about 30 pounds of steaks, burgers, sausages, porkchops, fish, lamb chops, chicken shish kabobs - the works (i work at a butcher shop)...and provided it all free of charge, just show up.

in spite of all of this $100 is now missing from my room, just discovered not 10 minutes ago. you can give people everything and they'll still take! just as i am about to break even i am thrown back into the red...whoever did it is lucky they took it, because if i still had that money i'd use it to buy a gun with which to shoot them in the face. bunch of savages in this town. :grr:

but otherwise i'm a little stoned with a cold beer in hand, i am warm and with satisfied belly:

life could be worse.

P.S. listening to "Electric Warrior" by T. Rex will put you in a good mood

3. when something like that has happened in my circle of people
in the past, it has been somebody that nobody could believe would ever steal, when the person has been found out. oh well.

good T.Rex album, btw, although I can live without hearing "bang a gong" ever again. it's t.rex's Freebird/Stairway to heaven. I like Planet Queen. "Slider" is also good by them, it was played as canned music over the speakers just before a Smiths concert I saw in the mid 80's in DC.

sorry to hear about the money, though.

10. aye, i doubt it was a friend
mine are all too loyal...by the end of the night a lot of friends of friends' friends showed up and there were some unfamiliar faces (i would estimate maybe 75 people in my house?)

14. yeah I thought that after I already had posted.
Most likely, in your situation, it was probably some person not in your immediate circle if it were an open house type of thing. in my experience(s) it has been somebody everybody knew and least suspected, strangely enough.

So sorry Mark, hope they get a $100 speeding ticket on the way home...that actually happened to a friend of mine, he stole $75 dollar shirt and got a speeding ticket for $75 after he left the store.

Good to know things are good other wise.
