3. Hey - I think I found a golden eagle hit by a train!

got some pix but not sure I can post them - not gory, but it is of a dead animal...I don't think it could be any kind of hawk could it? Yesterday was the strangest - found a turkey vulture hit too - I have never seen any birds on the train tracks before...

I was out for a run Sunday morning, and the big guy had found a dead possum in the road. He wasnt going to move for anything, and gave me the evil eye as I ran past.

Do you have any pics? There was a hummingbird here last year, which was a treat. If the trumpet vine blooms well this year maybe it will come back and bring friends, I hope so.

10. No-- hard to capture the high speed aerial manuevers.

The SO did witness a very intense battle last week where one male beat the other one down almost to the ground. This time of year we always see males 'swordfighting' with their beaks. It's pretty wild out there. The females stay out of it!
