What should I leave my brother in my will
My brother is not just a sociopath, thief, dope head, criminal, philanderer, freeper. He's a rabid homophobe, racist, phony, "christian". His own children have a hard time finding anything positive to say about him.

We're in the process of writing our will, and will meet with the attorney today. Needless to say, my wife wants to be very specific in our will and indicate that my brother gets nothing.

I don't want to be so cold. I want to leave stuff to him. Here are some things I'm considering...

He can have any milk that's in the refrigerator
He gets the contents of all three litter boxes, but can't have the boxes themselves.
He can have any air that's in our lawn mower tires (apropos, as he's been an oxygen leech all his life)
We have some partial cans of paint I'm willing to leave him.
Any used motor oil that hasn't been sent for recycling (no. Scratch that. He'd pour it in the river)
Maybe there's a box or rags or something.

I'm out of ideas. What else should I leave him?

3. From "The Critic" cartoon:
Duke Philips:
"To my ex-wife I leave zilch. Nah, that ain't right - I should leave her more than that. Oh, I know: custody of my diddly-squat."

9. This reminds me of an episode of WKRP
A rich guy tells his son (in his will), "You've always been an all or nothing kind of guy, and since you can't have it all, you get nothing."

10. a letter
Leave him a kind letter explaining that your estate went to people and entities that embrace life and community and all things wise and wonderful, bright and beautiful. Tell him that you couldn't let the fruits of your labor contribute anything to negativity.

13. Ask your attorney
But, the way I understand it is that if you leave him anything, he has the right to contest the will.

However, you could still start saving the used cat litter, and all it's little "presents", in old coffee cans, and have your attorney mail those to him upon you death.

...just a thought :silly:

15. In Texas...
I don't live in Texas, but my mom did, and I learned that they allow a provision in wills that if anyone contests the will, they get nothing. I like that.
