Bands I'd like To See Erased From History (Second thread)
The first thread got too long, so I'm starting a second one.

The band I'd like to see erased from history...

The most no-talent hacks from the 1970's, Steve Miller Band.

:boring: music, :wtf: lyrics.

And that's their good points.

Also Bruce Barfstein.
He has two ways of singing, mumble yum yumble and the sound a water buffalo makes when it's kicked in the 'nads.

along, and improve society while we are at it?

12. Now that's pushing the envelope a bit.
Are you saying you liked nothing after Beggars' Banquet?

Let It Bleed

Sticky Fingers

Exile On Main Sreet

All sucked?

This is considered by the majority of hard-core Stones fans and critics, to be the top 4 albums that they ever released.

Of course you are entitled to your opinion.

Asshole twin number 2, Liam. ;)

(Heh...heh....I said "number 2"...:D)

Anyhoo...

I want to experimentally nominate for eradication the ubiquitous Bob Dylan. Now, hear me out...I don't particularly dislike him, I just don't get it. Never have. I appreciate the fact that SO many people see him as the be-all-end-all saviour of rock and roll, I just don't understand it. I've tried over the years to listen to him, devoted weeks at a time to listening to nothing else...:boring:best sleep I ever had. ;)

And so, I'd like to erase him, just to see how modern music would've devolved into something more rubbish that it already is.

18. The ones responsible for the worst pop song of all time!
No list can possibly be complete without including Captain and Tenille, the dastardly duo responsible for "Muskrat Love," arguably the worst pop song in history, and followed with a lot of less vomitous but just as annoying other songs for the tonedeaf and braindead.

Debbie Boone is the runner up, with "You Light up my Life," with its single piano chord plunked insistently behind the saccharine lyrics. She would have given the above a run for the top spot had she not dutifully disappeared after this particular abomination.

The 1970s were the absolute nadir of pop music, with otherwise decent musicians ruined by the insistence of withless recording company executives that they needed to copy Creedence's incompetent, wappa-wappa drumming if they wanted to record. Also popular during this period were the songs of Bert Bachrach, which one needed to be in an advanced state of inebriation to tolerate without running for the porcelain telephone to the almighty. These witless but catchy efforts were duplicated by every lounge act in the US for the entire decade, scarring many of us for the rest of our lives.

No singers or groups since then have managed to equal the efforts of this deplorable decade, one which saw disco as an improvement over what was out there.
