End User License Agreement.

You can't read the thing until you start installing the software.

The EULA page states you must accept the agreement or return the product.

Guess what happens when you try to return the product? They won't let you because the box has been opened.

They're a pack of thieves.

And definitely read EULAs more carefully; Lord knows what they'll "legally" try to do these days. x(

Sigh. The issue is nearly a year old, yet nothing's been said since... what are your thoughts?

1. depends on the company

Recently we re-released what seemed like a million titles recently to update the eula on the CDs.. however we have a fairly lenient return policy as long as it is within 30 days.. but that's for our copyright products.

Most of the eula is to give our company legal muscle if someone copies the CD for distribution, uses content within the game etc.. being our return policy is fair we don't get many complaints.

But I can see where some companies would have you backed in a corner.

2. Kewl

Most policies are fair and I always buy from companies who offer a xx-day guarantee. (Microsoft no longer has a guarantee, how odd, so as of Windows XP I refuse to buy from them anymore. Besides, Linux is better.)
