Eagles vs Packers game thread
This should be a good game I think the Eagles will win because it's at their house.

2. Faux just abandoned Rush! McNabb just beat the shit outta him!
They did a skit right before the game with an Rush impersonator popping pills in a broadcast booth saying Farve would win because he was a white quarterback. Suddenly, a guy in a McNabb Eagles uniform busts into Rush's booth and starts beating the living crap outta Rush.

I laughed so hard I nearly swallowed my tongue!

I loves the part with the pills though that was the best:evilgrin: I guess Fox tv&sports are seperate from the news division. I wonder if they fight at the Christmas party's and meeting:7

Actually the defense blew it on that 4th and 24 play. I can't believe they could not stop the Eagles when they knew a long pass was coming.

FOX has a tendency to allow more field noise into their broadcast but, I don't care who was covering the game you were going to hear that crowd.

We're not out working on our tans down here.... it's been pretty dang cold here (since the last game, at least.) Tennessee busted that "Southeners can't handle the cold" myth last nite - the Panthers can take it !

What are you talking about? How cold is it in the south right now? Is it in the 40's? That what we call a warm day in the North.

51. Yah, I know they lost
But everyone was predicting a blowout. I moved to NC from NH - I know all about the cold. I was predicting the cold would cripple Tennessee, but they hung in and gave good game, much better than many (myself included) had predicted.

It was down in the low 20s here last nite, with very strong winds, and has dropped to the teens on and off - 20s every nite this week.

I always got a kick out of it myself while living in SW Ohio. What the hell you doing in NC BTW. The teens must be some record cold for the Carolianans. It doesn't affect the Packers though.

Freaking 75-80 degrees out and about in some places, people having fun swimming in the ocean, while 150 miles away people snow skiing down the slopes. The weather here sucks ;-)

55. It was, for the most part, a very well played game.
I'm totally bummed that the Pack lost to a bunch of old-school northeast jackaninnies with pretentions of grandeur and a self-absorbed sense of Godhood - I mean, Philly - but what the hell, the Eagles earned their win.

Some dumb plays on both sides, and some incredible plays on both sides, so I'd say equally balanced and well fought for, and one of the most exciting games I've watched in a long time!

Well worth the trip downtown to where I could find a bar with a TV! (and managed to accidentally find a bar with TWO projection screens and about 45 other smaller TVs all over the place, and - best of all - ALMOST NO ONE IN IT, though everyone in it was an Eagles fan, so I kinda stood out, but no one cared.)

Congrats Eagles!! Hope you don't feel bad if I ain't rootin' for you to get in the SuperBowl, but one hell of a good game.

I wish Super Bowls would always be that close, and that equally played, and that stressful and nailbiting.
