I sent my husband to Miami!
<preen> Am I not the best wife evarrrr?
I sent him to UltraFest with one of his DJ friends. We scraped the money together and I went hurriedly shopping for whatever I could find that would make him look even marginally up-to-date (clothes-wise).
Yes, of course I wish I could have gone, but we didn't have that kind of money, and this will serve to immerse him in his chosen music and also make some connections.
I also don't have any sort of babysitter. We haven't been out together (maybe two exceptions) in about two years.
<shameless plug for pity> ;)
On his side, he's been working his ASS off for us for the last two years also (allowing me to stay home with baby), and in addition to an unfortunate run-in with the law; the poor boy needs some fun.
AND, I wasn't even close to ready to go...I need to lose some weight and spruce up a tad in general before I will show my face near Miami or South Beach. (I am such a Leo..)
He's driving home with the friend early Sun. (10 hours!!) and going straight to work; then staying over at work and working all day Mon. I don't get to see him until Mon. night....:-(

SOOOOOOOOOOO........

You all have to keep me entertained this weekend. I do have a small stash of vodka in the freezer...

Watch out; I may be crazy!! :D

1. You'll be crazy in good company then.
I hear that KW, MissHoney, DA, Rev_Acts, Redstone, in fact just about everyone on the entire of DU except for me, is crazy. However, I, am not, crazy, nor, am I, addicted, to commas.

Commas keep the aliens at bay. :)

3. Bay city, of course. We don't want the Mars Lords to come visiting
places like Houston. They might destroy the world to stop people from living so unhealthily.

5. Well, if by 'probes' you meant 'uninhibited alien robots that look just like
humans that will be sent here to make everyone happier' then I dunno.

Other than that, I agree. The last thing we need is for the Lords of Mars to discover that I'm the only sane person on the planet.

7. Here's a serious question
How would you react if you were at work and you saw someone there whose pic you recognized from this site?

17. I'm jealous, but happy for him.
Since his passion is spinning progressive house, trance, and breaks, this is as much educational as it is fun.
AND he really needed it.
<but he's in a BIG CITY with lots of CULTURE and NEW PEOPLE. I'm stuck here in red we-are-so-far-behind-it's-not-funny state. Waaaahhhhh. I need CULTURE!!!!!>

He won't care if he's tired. He loves it. ;)
