"I Am My Own Wife" A Play. Has anybody seen it?
I watched in amazement. The story, the writing, the acting. Wow. Now I want to see it acted by somebody else, just to compare.

1. No, but it happened to me once
Dear Playgirl,

I never thought it would happen to me but . . .

... and then . . .

. . . I tried to catch my breath . . .

. . . the best omelet I had ever . . .

4. One actor takes on all the characters.
I'm in Bangor Maine and damn, that fellow did an excellent job. Lighting and set were also superb. Hi, gray! :hi:

I went out with a girlfriend, had one drink at a pub and came promptly home. What about yourself?

I'm amazed that people have no idea they are their own problem.

It'll probably be a bestseller... people love to read about other people's fuckups. It makes them feel really comfortable.

12. I need to read up on the tale
because it's possible that his/her whole story was a fabrication. The play doesn't settle the matter. My friend and I agreed that any man who controls the stage like the fellow did tonight, has our undying lust.

13. Single Actor Plays
are not hard to steal the scene in :P

but the actor sounds talented... and yes, the scene could be stolen by the actor's lack of acting skill, I know... just being a smart-ass

and I'm sure he's thrilled at the ability to invoke lust in his audience... regardless of who it is invoked in specifically, that's the love of acting...

That's about all we have here, but it's very well done! And with girlfriends, it's sublime! I'm happy you had a fun night out!

20. Thanks very much!
"Little" theatre can go either way!! The Pentacle Theatre in Salem, Oregon was so bad as to be worth subscribing to just for amusement's sake. Maybe it's better now. But our Penobscot Theatre does a good job. Oh, I just noticed that theatre is the one word I haven't americanized, apparently. Forgive.

28. You're close
In the summer, check out what they have going on in Montpelier, VT. I've been there a couple of times in the fall, so we missed it, but supposedly they have a wonderful summer stock theater! The last time we were there, we had just missed Martin Sheen. Just sayin...it would be a fairly short trip for you.

However, I LOVE to see what the local actors can do with a creative piece!

It takes quite a bit to make me not appreciate the world I live in.

It just takes a good sense of wonder/comedy...

29. Yes. It's an amazing play.
It is in fact a true story. There was an extensive review with the playwright in the program, all about how he went over to Germany to interview the "hero/heroine."

I'm very drawn to the Charlotta, as I saw him/her portrayed tonight. I want to learn more.
