i need to get back to chicago.

i was thinking the other day about how i'd play hooky from work in the summer and hit some north side bars (this was back when there were pockets of working class people/working class bars near clark st around belmont or off of sheffield or a couple that were on southport. maybe about 15 years ago, anyway, i'd hit a daytime bar after noon o'clock, drink draft beer and watch the cubs on teevee (and wrigley was a stone's throw from there).

for some reason that's a good memory.

worst cubs memory: sitting on the number 22 bus going northbound on clark and having it take about 45 minutes to get to irving park road (right after the game let out).

i can get tix pretty easily (free) for cubs games, wanna go?

2. I'm just itchin' for Opening Day...

it's one of those things...it's so close I can practically taste it.

Just give me about 18 hours to get there (the drive's a bitch).
