I would just like to say that, for me, today, polyamory rocks
There were many, many positive relational little things going on today and just now I retrieved the lube from my bedroom for one of my partners and asked him to give his girlfriend a peck on the cheek for me. The poly cake is not about the sex but seeing my family have that little extra icing is certainly a joy.

And, there are no dishes in the sink and the kids and the dog are all sleeping! Yes! LOL

11. Bless you!
I went over there and just didn't know what to say. It didn't seem like the type of page a 1000+ DUer would have up but .......... Whew, what a relief! What a bizarre website!

4. Sorry no pics. :)
However, the whole lot of us started the evening watching a rocking movie that I can highly, highly recommend. Shortbus by John Cameron Mitchell. It was a movie so deep and complex that I barely noticed that there was a lot of sex. Clearly my partner didn't miss that part since he snuck off with his other girlfriend pretty much right after the movie. I really like his new girlfriend and have been rooting for them from the beginning and it's so nice to see them blossoming. They are falling in love and it is so much fun to watch. Polys have created a word to describe the pleasure one gets watching one's other partners enjoying their other partners. It's called compersion. I'm feeling an overflowing of that tonight.

5. I'm glad it works for you
It's not my style but I admit I'm a bit interested in it, for reasons that would get this thread locked of course :)

7. today morning i wished i could be split in two...one part to go to work
the other to stay home with my sick gf.

i guess in this instance polyamory would work better than plain ole couplehood.

8. That is one of the advantages actually
Edited on Wed Mar-21-07 07:29 AM by tavalon
A few weeks ago the aforementioned new girlfriend got really sick. My partner took care of her during the night and while he was at work, I took her to the doctor and got her the requisite gatorade.

Of course, don't get the idea there are never hurt feelings, miscommunications and even jealousy. Polyamory doesn't mean never having to say you're sorry.

12. Well good on ya'all!
Sounds like it's a good thing for you and your partners. And although it's not my personal cup of tea, I gotta'say the "no dishes in the sink" and sleeping children sure sounds like heaven!
