We had a nice trip up north yesterday. Had to drive through a blizzard for a while south of Red Ear, but we got away before that thing hit later.

It passed through here, too, briefly. A blizzard came upon us from nowhere - and left as quickly.

50. New car, er, truck is mighty nice

OK, I admit it, it's an Avalanche, our second. Before I get flamed, we haul a lot of stuff around, plus we have a trailer. The mileage on those isn't too bad, anyway, our old Avy got the same mileage as my Aerostar, and the new does a lot better. Be nice, maybe I'll take you for a ride!

On our way up there in the morning, it started to snow at Crossfield or so, and by the time we reached Red Ear (gotta stop at the Donut Mill!) it was close to a blizzerd. North of there we saw three accidents, one looking pretty nasty. Then, *pop*, the snow was gone, and it was nice and clear the rest of the way to the City of Champions. Then, coming home, we stopped to eat at Glenn's. That place has kinda slipped, but they have a new tea department, lots of really good loose teas for sale cheap. Anyway, when we came out there was the weirdest looking bunch of clouds to the north; we outran them. It came through here in the middle of the night and screwed up the rush hour yet again.

We made a nice family outing of it, and it helped that we only had to go in as far as Mill Woods. Man, that South Edm Common is a big place! Why does that city need to overcompensate with giant shopping centres?

There's a boom, lots of money going around; they need a place to spend it, I guess.

I rarely go down there...when I do, it's around 11 am on a Tuesday, so I miss most of the crowds. Weekends are insane there. :scared:


If I'm ever down in Red Deer, I'll look at those loose teas. They have some fantastic ones at Organic Roots here, but they're a bit expensive. Some really interesting blends, though.

Oooh...the asshat situation is about to come to a head. Will it be worse than I expect - a big huge blowup - or not quite that dramatic - I don't know. Let's just say I'm not going to hold my feelings in any longer, and I will lose someone who I thought was a good friend (and who I felt betrayed me in this situation).
