Does anyone here like The Killers?
I'm listening to Sam's Town - it's just f-ing fantastic. I can't stop listening to it.

2. I know I've heard them a few times,
but right now I can't remember their sound.

I really like their name, though. I'd like to be in a band known as "The Killers".

4. I'd say Springsteen roots, with David Bowie overtones.
Kinda hypnotic, IMO.

11. Their first album was more of a New Order vibe.
They even got their name from a New Order video.

14. Definately Springsteen roots
The lyrics reflect the Boss' kind of desperate optimism that I love so much. I'm an avid listener to the Killers' music in the car and at the gym.

6. Help me Get Down!
My sugar sweet is so attainable
This behaviour so unexplainable
The days just slip and slide
Like they always did
The trouble is my head
Won't let me forget

I took one last good look around
So many unusual sounds
I gotta get my feet on the ground

Help me get down,
I can make it (ohhhhh...)
Help me get down,
I can make it, help me get down
Help me get down
I can make it, help me get down
If I only knew the answer...
I wouldn't be bothering you, father,

This song just kills me - no pun intended.

9. I don't believe they have ever written a bad song.
I always find myself getting twisted up in the lyrics.

watching Jericho every week now if they hadn't started their pilot episode with "All These Things I've Done" by the Killers. That's a great song too, btw. What a wonderful song with dynamics that take you out of this world.

10. Hey, I won $500 there last time I went!
Of course, it was because I was so stupid.

I accidently picked a $5 slot poker, fed in a $20, picked "Max" and hit 4 aces. Of course, that was only 4 coins instead of 5. I would have won like $5,000 if I'd known what I was doing. Doh!
