Another random cooking question.
I have some leftover coconut battered shrimp that I would like to partake of eating.

How does one reheat battered shrimp? I imagine the microwave might make them rubbery.

Suggestion?

1. Your best bet
is to reheat them on a baking sheet in the oven.

But they'll be overcooked to a certain degree no matter what you do.

3. Neh
that might burn them and won't heat the inside up enough. Think of broiling as if it's an indoor grill.

I'd just put the oven on about 400-450 and put them in there for 15 minutes or so.

6. reheating in a medium-heat oven is good
Personally, I like them cold.

7. You can re fry them
Take a small, high sided sauce pan, add a few inches of oil (not over half way), heat to 375F and toss them in a few at a time. Restaurants fry and then re-fry stuff all the time. Or a short burst in the oven at 450 (per the other poster's suggestion) is always a good bet.

8. double boiler
put the shrimp in a pot or bowl on a pot with water in it and heat. The steam heats up the top pot or bowl and the contents without making them too hot with direct heat.
