Twice in the last week I have had kids trying to sell me magazines

I don't know if this is a scam or not but these kids claimed if they got 100k points, they would go to college for free. It seemed like just a plot to sell me stuff I don't need. They came to the door and very polite but both had exactly the same spiel.
