1. Marvin Miller
I wonder if he was there to greet him at the Pearly Gates!

I firmly believe Marvin Miller deserves to be in the Baseball Hall of Fame.

2. Some announcer was sayin' that the other day
A whole lotta people don't like him, but Miller revolutionized the game — virtually created it as it is now.

I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing, but it's certainly worthy of recognition.

4. SALON
I read an article saying the same thing in SALON some years back. I'd always wondered if there was a place for him in the Hall - wasn't sure if he was even eligible - so when I read it, I went "YES YES!"

If changing the game could be considered a reason to put someone in, he definitely belongs.

3. He should have let Charley O sell his players...
...when free agency came along. Bowie hated Charley so much that he basically twisted the truth to get him out--but Charley was right...the situation he faced with his team in 1976 was *precisely* what faced Connie Mack in 1914 and 1932...and with his actions, he didn't allow owners to sell their players for money, thereby driving the old-time baseball people like the Griffiths and the Veecks out, and ensuring that only corporations could keep teams going...a bad mistake, in my view...
