Why does the DMV want us to be so UGLY?

Ok, I got my license back and I can drive again. Yippee! I had to say 50 "hail to the governors".

I had to get a new license. You know its funny- they could care less what you say your weight is. Lie all you want, they just laugh about it. You can be 6 foot 10 and 65 pounds if you like.

But they are determined to make the butt ugliest picture of you that has ever been taken. Unbelievable. My face is red. I came home and thought, I don't look bad today, but this picture is AWFUL. I've never had a halfway decent drivers license picture. Surely they can do better, can't they?

1. Same goes for military IDs

Especially your first one, when you are in a long line with a bunch of other recruits, just got your head shaved and are outfitted in a uniform that doesn't fit that well, told to shut up, stand on the red stripe, look into the camera, click. Next. My wife's driver's license has her listed as 5-11. That's my height. She's 5-3.

2. My license photo is the only good photo I have of me

Well, almost. But it's a good enough photo that I once sent my license (not a photocopy) to a friend I met on the internet to show him what I looked like.

Luckily, he sent it back. :)
