"Bowser" against the fakes
It's one thing to be a fake, and let the audience know.
But to claim to be the actual group, is simply wrong.

Sha Na Na member backs bill in Wis. to stop musical impostors

By SCOTT BAUER
Associated Press Writer

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Jon "Bowzer" Bauman, formerly of the band Sha Na Na, had something to say Wednesday to impostor musical groups that make their living off famous originals: "Get a job!"

Bauman has been taking the same message to states across the country as part of an effort to pass laws preventing performers with no ties to original artists from passing themselves off as the real thing.

5. Exactly
Actually, he is apparently a really interesting person. Attended Columbia, is really smart. Who knew? I just always thought of him as the guy who liked to flex his bicep.

7. They played Woodstock
I bet a lot of people thought they had taken the brown acid after they saw that.

3. Kind of ironic, coming from a guy whose band got rich doing nothing but covers.
;)
