1. My dear undeterred............
Five?

What's wrong with those people?

It does seem unreal, for sure......

They need to get off their asses and decide!

Hang in there, sweetie!

2. they could decide tonight and make me an offer tomorrow
or they could decide not to hire me and never talk to me again;

or they could decide to do another phone interview

or they could decide to do a face to face interview...

Is it phone sales?

4. No its a field engineer tech job
in the medical field and I really want it.

Things with the other job are not even moving. They did not return my possessions. I called the unemployment office this week to file a claim and told them the whole story- so they can look into it and see if the company is trying to block me from receiving unemployment, even if I only need it for a week or two.

I blocked the company email from my personal account- if they want to email me they can use their personal accounts too as far as I'm concerned. Before I did that I told the human resources guy that I would only be communicating through my lawyer from now on and that anything he had to say to me he should put in writing.

5. lol
I love the part about the lawyer. Fun to scare them a little bit. I am so sorry you have had such a hard time with that job and I hope that this next one will be a much better experience for you.

7. I had five or six phone interviews for the job I had before my current one.
I had one brief in-person interview and they were ready to offer me the job then. The reps for that company work remotely, and almost all business is transacted via email or phone.

8. I keep wondering if they care what I look like
since I will be going to customer sites.

For today's interview I was lying on my bed with my dog at my side, my hair a mess. Not completely dressed, not presentable enough to answer the door.
