I'll tell you one thing I've learned tonight: Diana Ross has a vocal range most singers don't have. They're all starting off way too low in order to hit the high notes later.

I thought she sold her song, though it wasn't her best. I didn't think she looked as good as she sang, but this isn't a looks competition.

I love that song - and it was unrecognizable to me. If Lakisha had done it as it was done in "The Wiz" she'd kick it's ass.

But no worries - Melinda will easily be back to prove herself. But so far, nobody has done justice to the songs.

Again, it shows the talent Ross has - they sound like silly pop tunes, but nobody can sing them.

Remember "Star Search" and I can't remember that queen's name that won? Well he was fantastic each week and was undefeated. He had to throw his performance one week so they could get another guy in there.

LaK is like that. She can't be 100% EVERY week. But I expect from this week on, she'll rip that place UP!
