114. Me too!
I think I was 8 years old. It was at Arlington Park Rack Track and I had a broken arm so I couldn't stand on my seat like everyone else was. My parents took us. My sister, DU's No Surrender was also a huge fan of the Osmond Bros.

Don't be ashamed. Donny was hot then and still is. I saw him as Joseph and it was amazing.

I saw him interviewed recently and I can't believe he is a Grandpa! :wow:

There was a horrible thunderstorm in Dallas during the concert. After being there all day and being soaking wet Smashing Pumpkins wasn't enough to keep us there. We went to Subway around Deep Ellum and then drove home. I would have stayed for Nirvana, though.

Best part: After the Beastie Boys played they went up to the top of the lawn seating on a great big hill. Everyone had been using it as a mudslide because of the rain and while we were climbing to the top someone yells out, "There goes Mike D!!!" right past us down the hill. It was pretty cool.

A guy on the track team kind of took some frosh under his wing. (He was a junior) That summer he, another junior and three frosh went to the Aragon Ballroom to see Grand Funk.

All i remember is that i didn't recognize most of the songs, even those i knew, until half way through them, because the sound was a just a loud blur.

88. My entire family had a hand in the outfit that I was going to
wear to my first David cassidy Concert. My Aunt designed it, my Parents paid for the fabric and my Grandma made it. It got cancelled a week before the concert date. I cried for a week.

I did get to see him the next summer. Security nearly threw me out for getting too close to the stage. They just didn't understand that I was in love with him and was certain that I was to be his future wife....

Lord, the naivete of a 14 year old!

77. Mid 1970s: Don McClean outdoors in Miller Park in Chattanooga:

I sat right in front of the stage and even got to meet him and get his autograph after the show.
I was an awkward junior high school kid. I had a great time. My parents dropped off my friends and me downtown which was cool.

111. There's a grape grape joy in Jesus
at the table of the Lord

I'm not shitting you. Some lyrics from a song on Amy Grant's first album, which she recorded when she was young - under 18.

This isn't the album with "Grape Grape Joy" - but it's representative of the ones I listened to when she was the biggest name in Christian music and I was a loyal (rabid) fan.

Saw her in concert five times. She was great in concert.

118. In Boston
When I was almost 15 my boyfriend was going to a small private school in the town where we lived, and they arranged to have a school bus take kids into town for the Dylan concert. When we got there, there was a problem- not enough seats, so folding chairs for our group were set up on the stage behind the band.

It was one of the first times Dylan played electric guitar in a concert, and his folk music fans booed.
