1. The cat, the chess game, ping pong with Hurley
I'm cur-fuddled and perplexed. I must take some time and sort.

3. I think he did
Maybe he had blocked it out, because he sure as hell was denying it until the woman talked with him

I thought this was a great episode.

I'm wondering if the food drops will continue now that this station blew up.

I can't take the stress Sawyer is under and all this other shit at the same time. My head is exploding. And yes, it was a great episode and next week looks even better. Damn that John Locke.

The cat?
He did it himself. Who is he and why the eyepatch? Questions questions...always with the questions. Never an answer.

7. What about the "purge"?
Sounds quite a bit like "surge", doesn't it?
Awfully funny that they called it a "purge" and it was a Sayed centered episode with Iraq connections.

I don't think they are being political, but it seems curious.

9. Wasn't Nadia Sayed's love interest from Iraq?
Did you see how Sayed reacted when he heard the cats name was Nadia? And that was the same cat that was in the restaurant.

So much I need to remember from the other episodes that I've forgotten.

16. Well, we know he was because ever since he got to the island he's been practicing
Not to the fullest extent, but still doing the mindfuck torture.

And the other thing about him is he trusts no one. He sees things no one else sees, is able to jump to the next conclusion and usually is right.

35. Wasn't he forced into it?
I seem to recall an ep where his superiors in the army made him do it and he didn't want to. But then he "got used to it" or something. I thought that was a nice touch, keeping Sayid from being labeled a monster for being a torturer. And, relating to Abu Ghraib, vindicating the grunts a bit by placing the blame on the superior officers for ordering torture and the grunts unable to refuse. Not saying the grunts didn't participate, but implicating the superiors makes more sense than the Abu Ghraib trial fiasco.

41. I think so, IIRC.
I'm going to have to watch some of those DVDs again. Now that Lost is on at 10, all my kids are asleep so I can watch uninterrupted.

Before, when it was on earlier, they were just going to bed, so it was the usual flurry of activity and I missed a lot of stuff. Hence the DVD purchase.

 But then he admitted to torturing her. So, maybe it was both. He was trying to help her escape after he had already tortured her.

57. I read somewhere that the writers for Lost
(and the writers for Heroes) admit to reading message boards for ideas, either to use or discard. Supposedly they've admitted to having interns read the boards everywhere and then keep track of all the theories.

What you're saying might not be as far off as you think.

And what happened to the black lady who was chummy with John?

28. Maybe the 'Others' took over the DHARMA stations
and kept up a facade with the DHARMA Initiative higher ups -- so the food drops and supplies would continue. When Locke punched in 77 and blew up the 'Flame' it communicated to the DHARMA people that the 'Others', who the DHARMA people call 'Hostiles', have indeed compromised the experiment. Could this mean an invasion or assault by the initiative people? It's hard trying to figure out just who the bad guys really are. I wonder if the 'Others' are DHARMA traitors that realized they were being fucked with by the initiative. They always say "we are the good guys".

Just some lunch time thoughts.

29. I have finally figured out Lost...
Each episode leaves me completely confused every-time I watch one.

but last night, I had an epiphany.

of the 47 minutes viewing time, 44 minutes is completely worthless.

The first minute, the last minute and the one minute of what's coming next week give you all the clues you need.

the stuff in between is just their to fuck with your head.

But, I'm not so sure. Granted, Locke is a loose cannon, but we don't know yet that blowing up those stations was a bad thing. I don't have much faith left that the writers have the entire plot line figured out, but Locke's actions could end up being significant or positive.

I'm starting to feel silly for even analyzing the plots.
