22. omg, Rock!
our show here at 9:30 Club in DC sold out before we got tickets. I was Crushed :(
So I got LCD Soundsysten tickets like 5 minutes after they went on sale, the concerts not until March though.
I'm jealous you saw them, my best friend saw then too and he teases me since I missed them.

52. It was so freakin' awesome
My friend got our tickets, which were general admission. We figured since the concert was at the Shrine, which is on the USC campus, people would be in line really early. So we got there about 2 hours before the concert started...and ended up front row, center!

36. I have eclectic taste.
Finale of Dvorak's New World Symphony

David Bowie and Ray Davies doing "Waterloo Sunset" (one of the kinks' most beautiful songs).

Ray Davies - "Other Peoples' Lives" - new song from his new album - same theme as "Dirty Laundry" by Don Henley--sensationalist journalism that destroys peoples' lives. This was on a special XM show on the Fine Tuning Channel where Ray played some of his favorite songs that had influenced him, starting with Leadbelly doing "Rock Island Line", Big Bill Broonzy, Big Bill Doggett, Booker T, Otis Redding, Bela Bartok, The Beatles, Ray Charles doing "What'd I Say", and The Who.

I LOVE MY XM!!!!

43. What do you think of their last CD,Rockford?
If you've heard it.

I think it's the best thing they've done in a long time (though I also thought the '99 release on Red Ant,or Ded Ant as Rick Nielson calls them after the label folded, was decent, and a step in the right direction). The new one has a fresh sound but still sounds like it could be right after Heaven Tonight or All Shook Up.

I listen to a lot of extreme music but I've always loved Cheap Trick, and the new one is easily the biggest guilty pleasure I've had in years.

47. The studio version is better than it sounded on Conan
Edited on Tue Mar-06-07 09:43 AM by Forkboy
So if you liked it there you'll like it on the CD.

I actually despise pop music...but damn, they write a catchy hook, and the harmonies are the best since the Beatles (and no,I don't consider that an exaggeration at all) :)

Go here and you can hear the full studio version of Perfect Stranger (the song they did on Conan).Song list on the left side of the page.

http://www.cheaptrick.com/

On edit-There's another new song there too,"C'mon,C'mon,C'mon" (not to be confused with their old song "C'mon C'mon").
