My Dad is also a Korean war vet, he has some very interesting photos stashed away. My mom is working on putting all of them on DVD's.

21. Yeah, except those pesky Chinese and NK soldiers......
All wars are brutal and inhumane. Korea was extra brutal. You should be very proud of your father and his service. They don't make them like that anymore.

23. Two thank you's. One for the message and one for the medium.
I appreciate you posting these one at a time.... that's a real headache saver for us dialer-uppers. Kudos.

But the serious thank you is really for your dad. I'm so so grateful to you for showing photos about an often forgotten chapter in our history. Over 54,000 comrades of Alphonse Manitowabi also didn't come back from Korea, stopping totalitarian aggression in a way that showed Stalin and Mao how firm the free world's resolve was. We live in a soft generation today because of young men like your dad and his friend Alphonse stood on the line.

Is it okay with you if I share these photos with my American History class?

26. Here are some Korea fotos, 1969
This is just south of the DMZ, north of Chunchon. Don't know if your dad wandered around this section, probably not as it was Turks and Australians who fought north through Chunchon and Cap Yong. In fact, we found an Australian's foot up on the mountain one day, actually a raggedy boot with some bones. I'm glad he got home alive.
