Is Line Dancing still popular?
I'm watching the South Park episode in which the kids get served, and it has line dancing in it, leading me to ask the question, Is Line Dancing still popular?

And if it is still popular, amongst whom is it popular?

I found it fun to do for an hour or so at summer camp with the kids, but I've never understood anyone actually going to a bar and doing it, though clearly millions did. Not that there's anything wrong with Line Dancing - the nice thing is, everyone can be included, even kids and old people, and one doesn't need a partner, and it IS a step above gyrating to rock music which reminds me of the whole "Let's get a DJ to play rock music at our wedding reception!!!!!" assholery - I just can't see doing it for anything more than a couple songs and calling it a week, or a month, or more generally, a year.

But then, I've also always been wary of any song that came with its own dance steps.

Is it still going? Or has it been replaced by next fad?

1. I believe ...
line dancing is dead.

Some friends asked me to go out to circle jerk, but I am not sure I know the steps.

But I hear it is huge and all the cool kids are doing it.

2. It always struck me
as something akin to a drill team.

3. My mind is really in the gutter tonight.
A whole team with a singular purpose -- drilling... nice.

7. I do believe
that is the mark of a skilled driller.

Now the chicken dance might be even harder ... to accomplish.

6. There's a place by me called the Colorado Cafe where it is indeed popular.
However, my friends and I go there to make fun of the line dancers and ride the mechanical bull.
