This is a method of getting a message through to your inbox without it being caught by your spam filter. All they want is to verify that the destination address is valid. Then they can put it on their list that they sell to people who will pound you with pecker pill spam like no tomorrow.

7. Yup, exactly
It's a way to get past the spam filter and validate your email address. And additionally, to see what words will get stopped by your spam filter. Expect the spam to follow, carefully worded.

Many SPAM detectors operate by the Bayes-rule (principle of AI, basically it is used use probabilities in logic, i.e. if event a is true, what is then the probability that event B is true as well). The words at the beginning are words not usually used in SPAM (according to whatever filter the SPAM-author wants to trick) , to increase the "probability" calculated by the filter-software that the mail isn't SPAM and thus trick the filter to let it through . The software is usually written to avoid false positives, so a few well placed words can trick it.
