ABC New 'Geico' Caveman Show To Air

ABC has greenlighted the comedy, Cavemen from writer Joe Lawson.

The show is inspired by the series of Geico ads featuring cavemen characters that revolves around three proto-homosapiens struggling to live the lives of normal thirtysomething guys in contemporary Atlanta, notes The Hollywood Reporter.

No cast has been attached to Cavemen.

because their expressions and the way they play those characters are what makes those commercials so wonderfully funny. I love those cavemen!

I think an idea thats funny over thirty seconds will be hard pressed to be funny over thirty minutes for, what, 12-13 shows?

7. They did this 40 years ago

There was a sitcom on, IIRC, CBS, about a couple of astronauts who, I think, went back in time and landed on a tropic island. They discovered a group of cavemen and brought them back to the US. The show was about the cavemen fitting in. I never really watched it, but I think it was spin-off from "I Dream of Jeannie". It was maybe called It's About Time? The GEICO cavemen are funny in the ads, but I'm not sure about a whole show.

and Petticoat Junction made country people look like a bunch of morans. Now they make an insensitive
show making cavemen look like morans. We should all write to ABC and have this outrages program taken off the air.
