Gory internet pictures

My aunt sent me an email yesterday with pics of a fatal car crash, and close-ups of the driver. They were hard to look at, and not the kind of thing my aunt would usually send. It was being forwarded around as a "reminder" to drive carefully, but in reality it's just a gory peek show.

The message included the name of the girl who had died. I googled her, and found a news story that tore my heart out. The family has to deal with their daughter's death, but are also tormented by those pictures, which are being emailed all over the world AND to family members. The girl was beautiful, and her loss was tragic. Shouldn't that be enough for the family to bear?

Think twice before you share pictures like that. These people have family members who are destroyed by this kind of thing.

I sent my aunt the link to the news story. She has two beautiful daughters herself, and should know better.
