Question For a British DU'er Or Anyone Else That Might Know (re: slang term)?
Is the slang term Argy-Bargy pronounced with a hard g (as in arGument) or a soft g (as in ArGentina)?

1. Soft G.
It sounds like arji-barji.

2. Thanks...I probably ought to know how to pronounce the title of my favorite Squeeze Album!
After all it's only been twenty seven years! Thanks for the information. I've always wondered and never asked.

3. A Squeeze fan? Excellent! I love that band.
The keyboard player, Jools Holland, has his own show on UK TV. He's a seriously talented pianist, and gets some great acts on his show, who he then proceeds to jam with. Fantastic viewing for fans of great music.

4. When I finally make the switch to HDTV (this year)...
I will finally be able to watch Jools show on the Rave HD channel on DishNetwork. I've watched it a few times at my parents house. Chris Difford is actually in the midst of a two week US tour.

5. I got excited there for a second.
Then I looked at Difford's website and see he's not coming any further West than Chicago. Curses!

6. I Wouldn't Be Surprised To See Him Hit The West Coast Next Year...
this is actually his first trip to the states in 10 years. I am truly surprised at how warm Chris' voice has become. He doesn't even sound like the same man who sang "Cool For Cats." Don't get me wrong, I love the song, but I have truly come to think of him as much more than a great song writer.

7. I'll definitely keep an eye out.
I'd much rather see him than some overblown reunion tour like The Police.

9. Soft G
That term makes me think of Bill McClaren commenting on the Rugby.
