Has Today Sucked For Anyone Else?
It's just been one long damned day of feeling like everything is sucky.

1. Well, we had some storms come through and
I got a migraine because of the change in barometric pressure.

2. Well. I had the MOST amazing conference call.
not.

I had 40 clients on the phone and via WebEx to train them, and as they called in, they were all shouting, "Hello? Hello?"

I felt like I was in a Verizon commercial.

Then, one of the clients asked me if I was going to use a particular example throughout the presentation. Obviously, she wasn't happy with that, so of course, I said, no.

But, in the meantime, I was frickin' panicking thinking "Holy Crap!!! I spent two days preparing for this with this particular guy, what am I gonna do?"

Fortunately, prior to the call, for some reason, call it divine intervention, I had placed ALL my training files right in front of me, so I was able to pick some other route to go down.

Oh, and my son broke his glasses.

So, yeah, I'm with you. Not such a great day.

14. Oh, the best part. There is MAJOR construction on the
major road outside my neighborhood, so I have to go through my ass to my elbow to get to the closest glasses place, which happens to be Pearle Vision.

Mind you, it is 3PM, so I don't have a lot of options.

They tell me that they can't read the prescription off the lenses, so I have to race around the back way to get to the optometrist we go to get a copy of the Rx. I asked them to fax it, but my office number wasn't working, :eyes: so I go pick it up.

He picks out a new pair, we go a couple of doors down to eat dinner, and return about 15 minutes before they close.

Because he has picked out the rimless bottom style, they can't grind the lens properly, so he has to pick out a new pair and they have to race to get them done before they close at 6.

And people wonder why I drink.

The one really good thing. They give a 35% discount to AAA members and they didn't ask for my card, so that was good.

I am so depressed. A whole week or more of my life will be wasted. Yes I am feeling extremely sorry for myself and my legs hurt like a son of a bitch. Whine.

20. Yeah today has been awesome.
I finally found out my next court date which happens to fall on a day a friend of mine from out of state is trying to visit. I have to put off my next tatt for gods know how long (I was really looking forward to that, too). I had a bad dream right before waking up that I still can't shake. And I feel like shit anyways (have for freaking months). Had to talk to the bondsman, that was great. Just little things but piling them on to everything else, you know, rocks. Blah.

For what it's worth, did you know there's a full moon lunar eclipse coming up on Sat? There always seems to be an increase of intense energies around full moons...and particularly around eclipses, too.

61. I had to deal with my family today over the same piece of land.
Anytime I have to be around my family I am in a bad mood.

Now if they would just pay me for the the piece of land everything would be taken care of.

66. Hi Southpawkicker
This land problem is getting old.

The land has to be divided 7 ways, it is a large piece of land.

I don't want to live there but I want the mineral rights, this is the problem.

My sister and cousins think I should give the land away and I am not going to do it.

So nothing can be done with the land until this problems is taken care off.

Just pay me for the land and I will keep the mineral rights and everything is OK.

most of the cost of the land.

Meanwhile the papers can't be signed, and my one cousin who I like can't build her house on her section of land.

There is natural gas under the land, a big pocket.

67. Sucked here
On Thursday afternoons I teach seniors at one of those expensive senior citizen independent living communities. Today when I got there I found out that the head chef had a massive stroke two days ago, and they unplugged her this morning. She had the stroke at work, so all of the residents and staff are doubly shook up. She was only 52 years old. My students think that she was way way over worked.

I'm not that much younger and have been having a little shortness of breath lately. I know I need to get to the doctor. I work so many different places and only am on salary for my part time school job. I have a difficult time figuring out what day I should take off so I can see the doctor, but this has been a wake up call, so tomorrow I am going to call and get checked out.

I hope things get better for you, Southpaw.

92. I keep telling people, it's because Mercury's in retrograde
and there's a total lunar eclipse on March 3. Now, I don't know what any of that means, but when Mercury's in retrograde, things tend to go awry.

I don't really believe all that stuff, but it's kinda like "ER Syndrome" on full moon nights--there's got to be some truth to it.

96. Thank you for this info...
because I am a believer and as a Gemini with Mercury as ruler, it makes sense.

"As the planet of communication, Mercury retrograde tends to breed a certain level of confusion. Mercury rules our "lower" mind--how we perceive and interpret information that we receive from our environment, and how we relay that information to others. Mercury has rulership over such things as speaking, negotiating, buying and selling, listening, formal contracts, documents, travel, the mail and shipping, and so forth. All of these areas of life are affected when Mercury is functioning in a sluggish state. Decision-making is challenged during Mercury retrograde. Needless to say, it is not advised to sign contracts, engage in important decision-making, or launch a new business. Delays and challenges are more probable with Mercury retrograde. It's a time when being careless with money, our personal information, or paperwork can be costly.

There is a positive side to Mercury Retrograde. This period is best used for re-organizing and reflecting. We look at the world a little differently--through different filters--and can come up with some very important inner revelations. It may be difficult to communicate them under this influence, but not everything needs to be rationalized."

My driveway is just about washed out. It sounds like a rushing river when you open the door. The power was out during the night for 4 hours. Good thing it was last night, otherwise, I'd be searching for a generator to run the pump in the basement.

This only happens a couple times a year and it's a good thing. :(

115. I don't think today was worse than any other day this week....
First, I'm suffering from a severe case of cabin fever. Mainly because my daughter with Type 1 diabetes caught a cold last week that kept her out of school for three days and then she missed most of this week because of subsequent complications (ketones we just couldn't completely get rid of until this afternoon). She is so tired of dealing with her diabetes and missing school and I feel such sorrow for her.

My oldest son came down with "The Cold" yesterday and missed school today. Since he is very behind in his school work this is Not a Good Thing.

Yesterday felt worse than today. I woke up yesterday morning from a rare (really awful and significant) nightmare having to do with my oldest son and his ADD.

The good news is:

1) I'm nearly done with a woodworking project for my kids. It's a media cabinet for a TV and their video gaming equipment. Plus two "book" cases for video games and such. It's turned out a little fancy for the basement, but I feel like I reached a new level of craftspersonship with this project. Now I have more confidence to start a major project of built-in bookcases, window seat and media storage for our family room. (Then a new dining table...)

2) Tomorrow is a Snowday!!! We finally have a big old glorious heap 'o snow! The son who is sick doesn't miss another day of school. My youngest son gets to build a snow fort. My DH is under the delusion that he is going to work tomorrow and plans to shovel just enough snow to get his car out of the driveway, but I think he will end up with a Snowday, too. If not, I get to shovel the rest, but I'm such a weirdo that I actually like shoveling snow. This is a surprise three-day weekend!

3) Our bountiful snowfall may answer the question of, "Mom, what are we going to do for Spring Break?" I'm thinking we may head north for x-country skiing. ('Better than getting on a JetBlue plane for Florida...:+ )

I stepped outside a little while ago and the snow, the silence, the beauty and the clean, fresh air felt like such a blessing. It brought me back to the beautiful moment.

I hope you are feeling better on Friday, Southpaw!

OK I'm going to stop with the guilt now since I just realized what I am doing. Changing thoughts is a good thing.

11 months of really good times and great sex. The two of us were crying our eyes out. Breaking up is always hard to do, of course, but it's even tougher when you're enjoying things so much and don't want them to end. Unfortunately, based on a previous conversation that he couldn't open his heart to me, it had to be done.
