2. The only three things I had in common with Dick Nixon.
We're both male. We were born in California. And, we're Capricorns. Otherwise, the similarities stop there.

4. I was just at the home of his birth not long ago
In fact, I stood over his and Pat's graves. It is important to note that although Nixon was hardly admirable, he still has the BEST record on the environment of any president. He was taken down and replaced ultimately by the people now running the country (clue number two) and if it is any consolation...people at the Nixon Library are curiously quiet on the accomplishments of King George.

On the lighter side, I remember the day of his burial. I could hear the 21 gun salute from my home. I looked over at my housemate and said, "They're doing that to make sure the fucker's dead."

7. Nixon was good on
the environment and it is so ironic that it is his own party that is reversing what he did for the environment and now destroying it. :-(

sheesh....i think, if i were standing at RMN's grave, I would have a hard time trying to keep from pissing on it.

yeah, i am a Nixon-hater. Forever. He has the blood of about 28,000 of my generation and millions of Vietnamese on his hands.

8. What a man of mixed motives....
a horrible lying scumbag... and yet one of the most liberal presidents of the later 20th Century.

Personally corrupt in the most blatant way, yet a total patriot.

I hope they put a stake through his heart when they buried him.
