I hate corporations.
I hate the love of money. I hate the lying. I hate the devaluing of people and the valuing of profit over all else. I hate the pretense that there is any kind of loyalty or ethics except to the almighty buck.

1. Have you seen the documentary, "The Corporation?"
You'll hate them even more.

2. Along those lines
I'm reading a very good book - called Big Box Swindle, the subtitle is The True Cost of Mega-Retailers and the Fight for America's Independent Businesses. Author Stacy Mitchell. Recommended.

It's really criminal the way these huge corporations work - there is no concern for the employee, the customer, the community or the country - all that matters to them is keeping their stockholders happy and that means showing increasing profit no matter what.

Discouraging and disgusting. :(

by buying their way into government.

3. And yet the people who run them manage to sleep at night. How, I can't imagine.
Like the men (and you KNOW it was men) who run the health insurance companies, and decree that women should get booted out of the hospital 24 hours after childbirth, or a generous 72 hours if they have a C-section.

Yet they can stand to look themselves in the mirror.

There are plenty of good companies out there, but lots of evil ones as well.

6. 72 hours after a C-section? LOL! In 1977 after my second C-section,
I was invited to leave as soon as I had a bowel movement, and it didn't take 72 hours to produce one. I had maybe 24 hours in the hospital after my C-section.

4. God bless America!
A nation that is by the corporations, of the corporations, and for the corporations.
And everyone else can just invest in ultra heavy-duty bootstraps with which to pull themselves up.

13. Large corporations foster hypocrisy so deeply
in everything they do. All that phony smiley "good morning" stuff just to start the day by people who mostly can't stand each other. Gotta play the game and be perky-smiley.

17. Work for ourselves or small businesses whenever possible.
What is amazing me today is the stupidity of Human Resources people.

16. I'm with you on this one. All this outsourcing and layoffs and buyouts...
who is going to buy these wonderful products that these corporations produce?

The middle class is going to be long gone before these idiots finally wake up.
