I had my job interview today; went well.
I wore my black suit Iskirt)and Chanel scarf (black and gold) and I think I have a fair chance at the job.

Thanks to everyone here who helped me decide what to wear.

5. No -- it was easy, really.
I interviewed with six people, three in each group, for an hour each group.
I knew someone in each group, so that made it easy, too. I've worked with these folks before, and I'm a known quantity. That helped.
The questions were easy, and dealt mostly with job-related issues. The big boss asked me some questions that I wondered about -- what books I read, for example. I read a lot of books, and a varied group of them, so that was easy. I didn't have a prepared answer, and I was truthful. My answer was that I just got through reading the Jean Auel "Clan of the Cave Bear" series, all five of them, and a book by Augusten Burroughs, "Running with Scissors."
All good, by the way.

I also mentioned that a day without reading the national news and local newspapers was incomplete, which is true.

If they can wait for me until May, I think I may have the job. And even if they can't, the boss said she had a couple of other jobs she wanted to consider me for. So it looks very positive.

3. If you haven't done so already, send the interviewer(s) a letter
thanking them for the opportunity to be considered for the position.
You should also reiterate your experience, skills and the value you will add to the organization.

Good luck.

4. Thanks - I did.
Before I posted this, I sent all of them a personal note on Crane monarch sheets, personally addressed to each, referring to the interview and stating my interest in the position. I mailed them also, before posting.
I have no idea how effective this is, but I always do it.
